I am a Licensed Dietitian and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for people with Eating Disorders/Disordered Eating, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, Pre-Diabetes, Type 1/Type 2 Diabetes, PCOS, and IBS. JA Nutrition Therapy is the private practice for Juleeanna Andreoni, MS, RDN, CDE.
I follow Health at Any Size and apply principles of Intuitive Eating when appropriate. My focus is on eating disorder/disordered eating recovery (including weight loss diet recovery) as well as diabetes care. If you are looking to add me as the Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) to your eating disorder treatment team, please be sure to read more about this under my care coordination page.
For clients with weight loss as a goal; a non-weight focused approach has advantages over traditional food restriction approaches or dieting. See more about a non weight focused approach on my myths page here. Our sessions would focus on assessing daily self-care behaviors with food and tackle problems slowly over time. This approach involves making small steps that address problem food behaviors and is not a quick fix. Also, the goals are more focused on daily changes with how you approach food and your body versus any specific size or weight change. My goal is to support people to find a happier, more satisfying relationship with food and their body while addressing health needs.
I have been working within clinics that provide care for eating disorder recovery at both GreenField Health as well as the Portland DBTI Path to Mindful Eating program for the past ten years. I am also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) with experience in both Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes care. I’ve devoted 19 years to developing clinical expertise to give my best to meet your medical nutrition therapy needs.
I am a preferred provider for Regence BCBS, MODA, and Pacificsource insurance companies.
Note: Because Insurance policies change annually, clients should verify benefits to avoid surprises. Each insurance organization has multiple contracts and allows clinicians to participate in some but not all plans. This means that although I’m contracted there may be exclusions. It is the clients responsibility to understand their benefits. Please read more here about insurance coverage.
Please reach out to me for a phone consultation to make sure I’m the right fit for you.
Since the start of the pandemic, all sessions have moved from in-person to telehealth. I use a HIPPA secure system for all sessions.
I generally see clients Monday through Thursday from 9 AM – 5 PM.
